It’s nearly September and that means that Thunderbirds Day is coming up! Every year, on 30th September, Thunderbirds Day marks the anniversary of the first date that Thunderbirds aired in the UK in 1965. It is a day to celebrate the classic Thunderbirds series and its new-generation revival Thunderbirds Are Go.
Our 2019 line-up of activity for Thunderbirds Day has something for everyone, so join in and celebrate this FAB franchise with us!
Thunderbird Weekends at Gulliver’s (14th September – 20th October)
On selected dates in September and October (including the weekends either side of Thunderbirds Day), you can enjoy Thunderbird Weekends at Gulliver’s theme parks (in Milton Keynes, Matlock Bath and Warrington). Take on International Rescue challenges across the rides and attractions in the theme park, see Virgil Tracy and discover Thunderbird 1!

Fanderson Supercelebration (20th-22nd September)
Fanderson, run by fans for fans, presents a full weekend convention event to celebrate the productions of Gerry & Sylvia Anderson. The event will be held at the Holiday Inn in Maidenhead and Thunderbirds will feature heavily, including a screening of the previously unaired Thunderbirds Are Go episode “Inferno”. Live Stream of ‘New’ Thunderbirds episodes(30th September & 5th/6th October)
Catch a one-off live Thunderbirds Day stream on the Century 21 Films YouTube channel, running on September 30th, 9am until Midnight, and then again the following weekend (5th & 6th October) at the same times. The live stream will include brand new Thunderbirds Supermarionation content, with three further Thunderbirds mini-albums being adapted to celebrate the occasion. This will also include a rare chance to see the anniversary specials produced by Century 21 Films in association with ITV to celebrate the 50th anniversary.

Mike Trim Interview (Mike Trim discusses his time working at Century 21 and on Thunderbirds)
The Stately Homes Robberies (50th anniversary special episode)
Thunderbirds 1965 (Documentary: The crew of the 50th anniversary specials discuss the behind the scenes process)
NEW: Vault of Death (Lady Penelope tells of the time International Rescue was called to rescue a man trapped in the vault of the Bank of England)
PLUS: newly produced interstitials and idents featuring the craft and characters from Thunderbirds and rare archive footage.
